MAIN ACTIVITIES

  • Carry out clinical activities.
  • Monitoring the quality of laboratory tests and supporting the monitoring of patients under treatment.
  • Supervising the procurement, distribution and use of drugs.
  • Collaborate on formal and on-the-job training and supervision of the dedicated staff.
  • Contribute to data collection and analysis and to the elaboration of reports.
  • Participate in coordination meetings with partners, local authorities and civil society representatives.
  • Collaborate in any operational research and scientific documentation activities.
  • Act as a tutor of a resident doctor involved in our Junior Project Officer program (if required).

Requirements

  • Degree in Medicine and Specialisation in Infectious Diseases.
  • Good knowledge of English, French, or Portuguese (depending on the country of destination).
  • Professional experience in the field of intervention.
  • Preferable previous experience – working or volunteering – in fragile or low income countries.
  • Ability of adapting skills and competencies to contexts with limited resources and capacity to effectively cooperate with the national staff.
  • Availability to stay in the field for 6-12 months.
