MAIN ACTIVITIES
- Carry out clinical activities.
- Monitoring the quality of laboratory tests and supporting the monitoring of patients under treatment.
- Supervising the procurement, distribution and use of drugs.
- Collaborate on formal and on-the-job training and supervision of the dedicated staff.
- Contribute to data collection and analysis and to the elaboration of reports.
- Participate in coordination meetings with partners, local authorities and civil society representatives.
- Collaborate in any operational research and scientific documentation activities.
- Act as a tutor of a resident doctor involved in our Junior Project Officer program (if required).
Requirements
- Degree in Medicine and Specialisation in Infectious Diseases.
- Good knowledge of English, French, or Portuguese (depending on the country of destination).
- Professional experience in the field of intervention.
- Preferable previous experience – working or volunteering – in fragile or low income countries.
- Ability of adapting skills and competencies to contexts with limited resources and capacity to effectively cooperate with the national staff.
- Availability to stay in the field for 6-12 months.
