Where we work

Sub-Saharan Africa is the heart of Doctors with Africa CUAMM’s activities. Since 1950, we have been working for the promotion of the fundamental right to health, making health services available to all, especially the most vulnerable and marginalized.
The organization actively operates in 9 sub-Saharan African countries (Angola, Central African Republic, Ethiopia, Ivory Coast, Mozambique, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda) with long-term healthcare projects, within a framework of social inclusion. CUAMM cooperates with Africa in hospitals, peripheral health centres, villages and universities where it works alongside local people.
The interventions mainly target the weakest population groups, especially women and children. Services provided include prevention and treatment programmes, support to health facilities, training of local health workers.
