It was Wednesday, March 16th when I flew to Romania. The goal was to get as close as possible to Ukraine to see and evaluate how and where we could help. I joined Giovanni Putoto and Andrea Atzori, who had gotten there the day before. It was a very moving trip. Unsettling. First stop: Chisinau in Moldova, then Siret in Romania (on the Ukraine border) and then Chernivsti in Ukraine, 40 km from the border with Romania.
