Day by day, a story to better know the commitment of Doctors with Africa Cuamm in responding to the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine and Moldova. In the following weeks space will be given to multiple voices, protagonists of a journal that aims at witnessing small but concrete actions- not covered by mass media, that every day make a difference to many.
As Moldova registered a mislease outbreak, the National Agency for Public Health (NAPH) timely adopted response measures to limit the infection and launched the immunization campaign among refugees with the support from CUAMM UK.
A training program on neonatal emergency and resuscitation was delivered to medical teams in Moldovan peripheral facilities thanks to a program designed and planned by CUAMM in partnership with UNICEF.
Since the conflict broke out on 24th February, 2022, over 869.000 people crossed the border seeking refuge in Moldova. CUAMM, in partenrship with UNICEF has been supporting the most vulnerable by providing health assistance within RACs.

It reached its final destination the humanitarian aid cargo donated to Cuamm by the Italian Agency for cooperation and development (AICS). It is a 9 tons cargo containing basic goods to support affected population in coping with the freezing winter ahead.

15 novembre 2022 - I left by my own to later find out that I was part of a team. I decided to go to Chisinau because I wanted to play my part in this situation of deep suffering for many and therefore contribute to the emergency response by offering my medical experience. Hence, I joined Cuamm.
September 22th 2022- Efforts are constantly tho silently made in the two centres where Cuamm works in Moldavia and Chisinau, namely MoldExpo where mainly Ukranians are host and Testemitanu, where the majority are the Romani.
In Chisinau's center, like in alla big cities, there are invisible people. With the hep of sisters of Mother Theresa of Calcutta, we help two of them, in the hope that they may suffer a little less.
