537 million people in the world are affected by diabetes, 24 million in Africa. These numbers are set to increase according to the WHO. This year too, Doctors with Africa CUAMM is participating in the campaign on the occasion of World Diabetes Day, strengthening its commitment to take care of people suffering from chronic non-communicable diseases.

A long journey

Founded in 1950, Doctors with Africa CUAMM was the first non-governmental organization focused on healthcare to be recognized by the Italian government. It is now the country’s leading organization working to protect and improve the wellbeing and health of vulnerable communities in Sub-Saharan Africa.
