The commitment of Doctors with Africa Cuamm thanks to the U.S. Government. Today Pierluigi Peracchini, mayor of La Spezia, and the bishop of the city mgr. Luigi Ernesto Palletti visited the spaces of “Gruppo di Volontariato Vincenziano San Giovanni Bosco”, where Doctors with Africa CUAMM renewed the showers and people in need can find support during the Covid-19 epidemic. Since July 2020, 370 homeless people have had access to hygiene services and more than 24,800 meals and 2,600 food kits were distributed.
Doctors with Africa Cuamm is committed to increase the availability and to improve the quality of services of diagnosis and tratement for uterine and breast cancer in three regions of the country.
On World AIDS Day Doctors with Africa CUAMM is making an appeal not to overlook the indirect effects of Covid-19 and remember the millions of people whose lives, in Africa as in the rest of the world, are still at risk from another virus and another epidemic that continues to kill without making news.
