FREDDY CYCLONE HAMMERS QUELIMANE IN MOZAMBIQUE

Cyclone Freddy passed through Mozambique on Saturday night, March 11th hammering Quelimane town in the province of Zambezia. Over 200.000 people affected, more than 18.000 houses destroyed, 37.200 people displaced and sheltered in 55 accomodation centres of which 29 located in Quelimane. Over 191.562 hectares of farmed land destroyed, 50 health centers severely damaged and 53 fatalities. Chiara from Quelimane recounts what happened that night.

A NEW CLINIC FOR CHRONIC NON-COMMUNICABLE DISEASES

In the village of Pujehun, Sierra Leone, a clinic has just been opened to treat patients suffering from diabetes, hypertension and other chronic diseases, which are on the increase in the country.
