Today in Karamoja, Uganda, the launch event of a Cuamm and Unicef's project has taken place, aimed at ensuring quality health services with a focus on nutrition, HIV, emergency health management and Covid-19. The ministerial community engagement strategy was also presented to ensure that people are sensitised and actively contribute to in prevent and control the spread of Covid-19.
Fathers are often marginal figures in Africa, as parental responsibilities are mainly a duty of women. Anyhow, their active role in the family is essential for the health of children.
Sabina, a young woman from Uganda, could take care of her children properly thanks to the support of Doctors with Africa Cuamm and the members of her community. Raising awareness and cooperation can really make the difference.
