    Berhanu Gulo, Project Officer in Ethiopia, tells us about the activities he deals with on a daily basis and the importance of acting as a bridge between the beneficiaries and the institutions in order to better develop the projects by responding to concrete needs.

    Kick-off of a new project on malaria in northern Uganda

    11 districts in northern and north-eastern Uganda, with a total population of 1,655,200 people, are involved in a new regional malaria project, launched by Doctors with Africa CUAMM on Thursday 30 September in the Kotido district of Karamoja region.

    Inaugurated in Brescia the new reorganisation of the triage in the paediatric emergency department. One of the twenty interventions carried out by Doctors with Africa Cuamm, thanks to the support of UsAID.

    Training to fight malnutrition in Angola

    Cunene, in Angola, is one of the provinces most affected by the extreme drought that has worsened in recent years. An important training for health workers and supervisors on nutrition, particularly community-based management of acute malnutrition (CMAM), was completed in Ombadjia.

    A life free from violence

    Filomena Ndudo puts the full passion and determination of a 26-year-old woman into her work. She comes from the Pemba area, in the province of Cabo Delgado and is part of the CUAMM project which, with the support of UNHCR, tries to combat gender-based violence and support displaced people in Cabo Delgado, in the north of Mozambique.

    Protecting breastfeeding a responsibility to be shared

    Once again this year, Doctors with Africa CUAMM takes part in the World Breastfeeding Week, an initiative launched by the World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action (WABA), a global network of individuals and organisations (including Unicef, WHO, FAO) that protect, support and promote breastfeeding as a universal right, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals.
