8 ambulances, on duty 24/7, free of charge. Every single health centre can now refer to the three hospitals in Rumbek, Yirol and Cueibet. By calling the emergency number they receive information from qualified health personnel who send them the ambulance.
According to the WHO, African countries, including Ethiopia, continue to experience severe blood shortages, resulting in many preventable deaths each year, particularly of women and children. CUAMM is committed to ensuring the availability of safe blood in Gambella.

About 1,800 people from all over Italy have gathered at Conservatorio di Milano on Sunday to attend the CUAMM Annual Meeting.
The health authorities in Tete province awarded CUAMM for its commitment to collaborating with local communities in reaching universal health coverage. In 2019 the first award for the commitment to supporting the provincial health system.
CUAMM' s first annual general meeting in an African country was held in Ethiopia to take account of a more than 40-years-long commitment in a country that now calls us to address new challenges.
