    Contrasting GBV to shape a brighter future

    OdonAssist From Research to Practice

    On March 31, we hosted a high-level dissemination workshop in Addis Ababa to present the results of the Assist Ethiopia study. The event marked the conclusion of a feasibility trial for the OdonAssist™—an innovative device designed to simplify assisted vaginal birth (AVB) and reduce the need for risky cesarean sections in low-resource environments.

    Improving nutrition services in Uige

    Following the renovation works in Songo Municipality, Uíge province now boasts modern, fully equipped spaces dedicated to nutrition services. This initiative is part of the Clean Cooking program, implemented in partnership with the Salesians of Don Bosco and supported by Eni, aiming to improve health and nutrition outcomes for local communities.

    Translating research into practice

    Can mathematical models improve healthcare service delivery in humanitarian settings? We explored this question during a two-day workshop in Addis Ababa, organized in collaboration with Kent Business School. The workshop builds on a long-standing partnership between the School and Doctors with Africa CUAMM, which has led to the development of an optimisation-based decision-support model.
