    CUAMM Awarded in China the Study on Health, Behavior, and Climate Change

    The International Conference on Climate Leadership, held in Harbin, China on July 21–22, provided a valuable platform to present and discuss the nexus between health and climate change. On the occasion, we got the chance to showcase the results of our field-based research initiative on preventing climate-sensitive infectious diseases such as malaria and cholera in Mozambique.

    URC2025 Ukraine Recovery Conference in Rome

    The fourth edition of the global gathering dedicated to the swift recovery and long-term reconstruction of Ukraine took place in Rome on 10 and 11 July. CUAMM participated in it and collaborated with several other NGOs in the side event dedicated to empowering people, organized by Caritas Italiana.

    Graduation ceremony in Wolisso

    St. Luke Midwifery and Nursing School in Wolisso hosted the 22nd graduation ceremony on June 28. Students include 24 midwives and 35 nurses who have been supported by CUAMM throughout their academic path. Today, they are qualified and competent healthcare professionals.

    Chiulo renovated spaces reinvigorate care

    We have just completed and inaugurated the rehabilitation works at Chiulo Hospital. Laboratory, delivery room, theatre room and radiology have been renovated and equipped to better serve mothers and children.

    Protecting life at birth the importance of nurses

    In Beira, Mozambique, practical training has begun for the 20 nurses participating in the annual professional neonatal nursing course, which started last February. This is an opportunity for exchange and growth that cannot be taken for granted for those who have often been accustomed to working without adequate training, alone, in a context where challenges are many.
