Dearest,
Every day we receive horrific news about ongoing wars and violence leading to further violence. Pursuing peace might hence seem a strenous challenge.
During my last on-field visit to Angola, I met a volunteer whose words comforted my heart and restored confidence in my soul. Speaking of CUAMM and the other doctors working in Africa, she told me that she felt, humbly, part of a humanity that is working tirelessly to build peace, a humanity capable of opening up, of dedicating themselves to others. A humanity that believes good is a stronger response to evil.
Jesus has truly risen and gives us the strength of goodness.
