TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE
Doctors with Africa CUAMM is providing technical assistance to Faith-Based Organizations (FBOs) that run local health facilities in Africa with the ultimate goal to improve their service delivery capacity and also strengthen local actors’ resilience and preparedness to face health crises. Throughout the program, technical assistance is provided both online and through on-site technical assistance missions conducted by experts in hospital management, project management, disaster management and resources mobilization.
The health facilities that are offered with technical assistance are hospitals, health centers and dispensaries located in the areas where Faith-Based Organizations are present, working next to the most vulnerable populations.
Key steps of the assessment are:
- Visit to the health facility by CUAMM experts;
- Data collection on the services offered by the health facility;
- Analysis of the health facility’s needs and challenges with the health facility manager and staff.
Through assessments, CUAMM identifies key challenges in the management of the targeted facilities and provides recommendations to be implemented in the short and long term by the Sisters and health professionals working next to the most vulnerable.
