    Where obstetric emergencies are a race against time

    Reaching a hospital is often a major challenge for women living in rural areas in Uganda. Once they get there, ensuring assistance from qualified health workers and basic services as a blood transfusion can be key to save their life and that of their baby.

    Feeling useless older people’s experience of war

    Despite being traumatic events for all, the Ukraine war poses particular challenges to the elderly. From accessing adequate housing to self-isolation. CUAMM offers them medical assistance and psychological support through Health Mobile Units mobilized at accomodation centres.

    IDPs conflict and climate change compound the crisis in Ethiopia

    Every year, conflicts, climate-related disasters, and economic pressures force millions of people to flee their homes. Being under the twin threat of conflict and extreme climate events, 4.5 million people in Ethiopia are currently internally displaced. The majority of them are reported to be in Tigray.
