{"id":69522,"date":"2025-04-12T14:14:58","date_gmt":"2025-04-12T12:14:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/doctorswithafrica.org\/en\/?p=69522"},"modified":"2025-04-12T14:14:58","modified_gmt":"2025-04-12T12:14:58","slug":"maternal-and-newborn-health-on-air","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/doctorswithafrica.org\/it\/maternal-and-newborn-health-on-air\/","title":{"rendered":"Maternal and newborn health on air"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two female voices in dialogue featured in a radio spot about maternal health \u2013 this is the initiative promoted by <strong>Doctors with Africa CUAMM<\/strong> in collaboration with <strong>Action Against Hunger <\/strong>in the Central African capital on the occasion of <strong>World Health Day<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>A simple yet effective way to deliver an important message to every mother everywhere: <strong>Prenatal visits are essential to ensure the well-being of both the mother and the future baby!<\/strong> As one of the voices in the spot says, speaking to a young expectant mother, reminding her of the importance of prenatal visits and access to a safe, assisted delivery in a proper healthcare facility.<\/p>\n<p>With this message, we wanted to celebrate World Health Day, which this year the <strong>World Health Organization (WHO)<\/strong> dedicated to maternal and child health under the theme <strong>&#8220;A healthy start, a future full of hope.&#8221;<\/strong> The spot was broadcast in French and Sango, the local language spoken by most of the population, especially in the suburban areas.<\/p>\n<p>Through the collaboration with the local broadcaster <strong>Radio Ndeke Luka<\/strong>, the information activities continued in the following days with the airing of a <strong>prize-based quiz<\/strong>. The &#8220;Mandako&#8221; quiz, broadcast daily from April 7 to 11, asked listeners a series of questions on topics such as <strong>pregnancy, childbirth, weaning, and newborn health<\/strong>.
